I am actually mildly excited for my birthday this year. The last two years, it just made me cry a lot, missing my mom and feeling very alone--especially when I lived in Eugene--but I am feeling okay anticipating it this year. I don't have a boyfriend this year, but it doesn't bother me like it would have the past two years, because I feel a lot of support n stuff from other people. Besides, one was a worthless sociopath. Enough emotional hardcore!
ANYWAYS,
I am thinking I might actually have fun these next few days, which is a nice thing to look forward to.
I don't even care much about presents, since I've gotten a number of my most earnest desires these past few birthdays and Christmases (pearls, Chapman's Homer, etc--but not a pony. Never a pony.)
Of course, now that I've said this, I have doomed myself to a shit birthday.
I may dress up as a pirate for trivia on Tuesday, since it's the day before Halloween. Shit! I need to get to the costume store for more body paint! Gah!
