Customer service...
...is not customer service, when all they will do is read from a script. A matter has not been discussed if one party refuses to listen to the other party, instead simply repeating his/herself again and again. Can these people not understand the frustration it causes when they refuse to even listen to you or acknowledge that you have a legitimate point, even if they cannot help you? I hate my bank now. I hate them. I. Hate. Them.

I know how you feel. I hate "scripted" conversations with customer service people.
