Horror of Horrors
I came home from work the other day to find gore smeared across my kitchen floor. It wasn't just blood, but actual chunks of viscera. It was everywhere.
It was horrible.
I didn't know what had happened. A dozen different scenarios played out in my head. Maybe the dog had gone nuts and killed a cat or the cats fought and one had gotten seriously hurt. Maybe they caught something else that had gotten in the house. Was one of the animals hurt? Dead?
Then I noticed Charlie.
He was sitting on the floor just around the table from me and there was more blood smeared on the floor just under him. He didn't look hurt, but I couldn't tell. I went to check him and he ran from me. Why would he run? I was sure he was hurt now.
I followed him around the table and just on the other side, on the floor right below the edge of the table, i saw it. Wet, all chewed up, half eaten away, it was laying in a puddle of even more grue. The smell hit me as I leaned in. It was like spaghetti sauce without the seasoning.
He got two more of them later that night and I had to move my basket of tomatoes out in the hallway where he couldn't get to them.
What kinda cat steals your damn tomatoes?
Oh! And the other day, I was making a sandwich and Mina stole my lettuce right off of my bun while my back was turned. What the fuck, man?!

they wanna eat buddy food!I had a siamese cat named Lar who would steal radishes and bring them home and chew on them and bat them around like they were dead animals. they smelled like dead animals too.
