I love motorcycles.

So I sorta got my bike fixed. It's still a bit out of tune, but it runs and is somewhat reliable. The idle speed varies a bit, and sometimes it can idle a bit high. But aside from that, it runs great, especially at higher RPMs.

So today, me and a buddy took a nice ride out to a local Royal Enfield dealer to take a look at some of the bikes:



Absolutely gorgeous, and reasonably priced. Plus, they come with a decent warranty, for a motorcycle. Anyway, I've made up my mind that next year I'm going to add one of these to the garage. I don't know which one yet. The wife wants me to get the military bike (with a double seat):



Admittedly, it looks nice... but I'm leaning towards the red one above, or this one (in red):



So we get to the dealer, and my buddy goes "Wow, these bikes are older than yours dude!"

"Actually, they're 2009 models man" I said. The owner, who was standing at the counter, just kinda laughed and said "I love it... Everybody says that!"

But these are all electronic fuel injected bikes that get about 85mpg. A far cry from the 50s era enfields that they mimic. I can't wait to get one. For only $6k, they're a hell of a deal.

The ride to and from the dealer was fun as hell too. Nothing like tearing ass down an empty rural highway on a motorcycle to get you in a good mood. Lots of top gear riding today. The fact that my bike is running better and better every time I get on it is great too. I'm at the point where the only thing about this that I regret so far is that I didn't get on the road sooner.

I fucking love motorcycles.
