I feigned an anxiety attack and got out of jury duty once. I was surprised with myself for pulling it off in front of two lawyers and a judge.

Oh snap I busted.
best way to not get picked is to just answer all their questions with an obvious (but not over the top) bias. I got out of being picked for a civil case (guy was suing somebody who rear-ended him) by saying that I had rear-ended somebody and I didn't think it was my fault after being asked if I'd ever been in an accident. Truth be told, I knew it was my fault.
oh yeah. criminal defenses love people who are reluctant to pass judgement.
to be honest, I don't think I would try to get out of my next jury duty assignment. There are too many idiots on juries.

My work pays me so thats fine. The reason I don't want to miss to much work is because we only have three people in my department and we will be fucked if I miss any time.
They are ok right now, my store is extremely busy all the time but I know of other stores that are dead. The stock is up from around 21 to 30 bucks.

I had to sit through a civil case yesterday. Some guy was trying to get, like, $12,000 for medical bills and pain and suffering from a company after a car accident involving one of that company's trucks. It was very obviously some sketchy stuff and they were just trying to cash in. I sincerely believe that if me or someone like me hadn't been there, they might've been awarded some money. The two women on the jury wanted pay their medical bills plus some extra and wouldn't be convinced otherwise. One of the guys could';ve been swayed by them. Another started to talk about awarding them something when we first started to deliberate and I cut him off to say they shouldn't get anything, then he completely switched and went along with me. And two of the other guys seemed to just want to go home.
I actually feel like I made a difference. haha
