i would be able to come back from camping and say i killed a bear with my bare hands, but i can't =(
i did however (apparently) moisten the panties of the girl when i faced off against one and ran it out of our camp at night while the two little'ns were sleeping.
chasing off the two bears the next day wasn't as impressive i guess. i think maybe she started thinking i was staging all these bear intrusions.

Did you really see bears?
Some kid got killed in Yellowstone by a bear over the weekend. Same bear attacked a few campsites that night actually. Jack Hannah also got attacked by a bear in Montana. And I was at a customer install yesterday, and they guy was saying his soon got chased by a bear in Colorado. Luckily the bear was farther away from him than the cabin they were staying in.

hard to see, but there's a bear behind the tree in almost the dead center of the picture. i'm outside chasing it off.
thats pretty much what they were. they knew where to get food... thats all they were looking for. you could hear every night the noise and yelling from people as the bears made their rounds.
the rangers say they tag them and take them far far away. i only saw one bear that was tagged which means it made its way back and will probably be killed if they catch it again.

The pic was of the cute baby bear that wondered in our first morning and was enjoying licking our grill. That is until Owen scared it away with his keys. The one from the night before was bigger and scared the shit out of me. And yes, Owen, your bravery did turn me on! Sneaky little fuckers creep up right next to you without a sound! From what the rangers told us, they get pretty aggressive once they have a taste of human food. The first one Owen encountered was persistent and kept coming back to steal our neighbors food. They tried to scare him away, but were unsuccessful. It continued to torment campers throughout the night. What I find humorous is groups of campers couldn't get this bear away from their site, but one man (yes, Owen) could physically chase him out of ours and he stayed away for good. I must feed the ego for this act of courage :P
That is really depressing, Justins uncle killed one for getting into his garden and just tossed it's carcass into the woods, we were livid. A. Call fish and game B. IF you're going to be a sadistic asshole and kill it, at least process the carcass....

That bear is a hide-and-go-seek champion that could rival Waldo. I thought he was a rock or a log or some shit.
There is nothing terrifying about black or brown bears. They're pretty calm and indifferent towards humans provided you're not between a mother and her cubs.
Only grizzly and polar bears are worth serious concern. They attack unprovoked and mock you by standing upright while they eat you alive.

they say black bears are more freaked out by you than you them, they're the furred friends of the forest. Like you said Zakk, just dont fuck with a mama and her cubs
Oh and, Im terrified of Grizzlies. When i visited my friend in Colorado I was petrified to do any mountain camping. All I ended up seeing was a bunch of deer, and (this was kinda freaky but we were up in this mountain house with fences and what not so it actually made it wicked cool) a mountain lion.
There was a grizz at the campground I was at a few years before I worked there. The standard procedure was to evacuate the grounds and the rangers had to try and sedate it and figure out where it came from and put it back there.
Supposedly it took twice the tranquilizer it should have taken to sedate the thing and it still wasn't completely out. The normal dose is enough tranq to stop an atheletes heart. I'm glad that was before my time there.

I'd take that as a sign, While wilderness is beautiful and its awesome we can enjoy it, it AINT OUR TERF. Grizzly wasn't goin down without making it clear it's gonna take a fuck load to take him down
