I just got a friend suggestion for a friend who has one other person on his friends list. That one other person is not a mutual friend. I've never e-mailed him and he's never e-mailed me, so Facebook couldn't have found him by going through my contacts.

How did Facebook know I'm friends irl with this guy?

I just realized today that facebook groups all birthday messages from someone's wall together on the homepage. How does facebook know the difference between a birthday greeting (which could say any number of things (like "soapy bathday," "hope your b-day sucks," "many joyous returns," "party down on the day in which you were born," "crap, i can't believe you survived another year" or any other of an endless variety of other possibilities) and just a typical everyday wall post?

it's more like an online stalking site.... i looked at it, and not only did it have my info on it, but my parents as well. and most, if not all of my previous addresses.

Facebook is now trying to make me tag pictures of people. It has the face recognition. It has the sentience and it's learning how to recognize us. This can't be good.
